Later Naanayam, sibiraj was looking for a script for the next movie. Since nothing at all interesting turned up, he took a quick hiatus, even now reading scripts. Sibiraj can be a dog-lover possesses 3 dogs. So, he indicated his passion in dealing with animals in the film. Movie director Shakti S Rajan, that had before directed Sibiraj with Naanayam, created a script with a dog from the lead. Production

Caarthick Raju said that I have been worked with visual effects and computer graphics for several films. Then came a stage when I wanted to do something more creative. With encouragement from my friend, cinematographer Velraj, I started writing scripts and learning about direction. The director stated that the film is about a son extracting revenge for his father's death and that the story is "how hide-and-seek continues to be played in adulthood when a thief and a cop come head-to-head".

Dinesh has signed to play a son role, "a carefree boy with no responsibilities" who later becomes a police offer, Rajesh was cast as the father. Dinesh was reported to appear in four looks and was trained by a constable friend to get his body language right for the policeman's role. Iyshwarya has signed to play as a role of college student, whose father is a sub-inspector.

The team travelled to kodaikanal and make a shoot of a duet song, it was shot at a few hilly locations, about 25 km beyond from kodaikanal. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in cameo appearance and he had done a kuthu song. ""Ennoda Vaa" the song was shot at Kerala House, near VGP in Chennai.

The music director is Yuvan Shankar Raja, album contains 5 songs and was released on July 10 2014 at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. Think music bought the rights for the film. All songs were written by Na. Muthukumar.
