Production
The collaboration between Vijaya Production and Ajith was reported in November 2011, with speculation suggesting that Venkata Ramana Reddy wanted to commemorate his late father B. Nagi Reddy's 100th year since birth with a film project. The debut siva who had making a film of siruthai in 2011, was noted as a potential candidate to direct the film, while Anushka Shetty was initially reported to play the female lead role. In early 2011 december ajith initially signed for her role. Yuvan Shankar Raja is a music director for the film but later replaced Devi Sri Prasad has confirmed has music director for the film.

Casting
Ajith would play a lead role in the film and Tamannaah would be pair for ajith in this film. Santhanam is a comedian in this film and other casts are doing a supporting role for the film.
Filming
The film began on April 4 2013, whilst the first day shoot began in hyderabad and went on for two weeks and more. The rumoured says the title for the film is Vetri Kondaan or Vinayagam Brothers and finally titled as Veeram. The film shoot was completed on 2 November 2013.
Music
The music director for the film is Devi Sri Prasad and he manage the background score and songs. Devi Sri Prasad works with Ajith for the first time.Veeram songs has been leaked in online so that the distributor will released the audio on 20 December 2013. Audio rights bagged by Junglee Music.
