Development

After the success of Baadshah Srinu Vaitla next film will be with mahesh babu. 14 Reels Entertainment produced the film. It's a second collaboration with Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara.

Casting

Mahesh Babu initially signed for the film and it was revealed later that Mahesh Babu would be donning the role of a tough cop for the third time in his career. After commencement of shooting, Mahesh Babu spoke about his character stating "I’m playing a completely different character in this film and it’ll be a typical mass entertainer in Sreenu Vaitla’s style." He also allotted Bulk dates for the film for a non stop shoot till the completion of the film. After writing the script he had started searching for opposite pair for mahesh babu. First they recruited sonam kapoor, however she denied being a part of the film's cast. Samantha and Deepika padukone are also suggested for female lead, but she didn't given a dates for the film. Finally Tamanaah was selected as a heroine.

Music

The music director is S Thaman. While he composed the background score and audio tracks. Lahari music bagged the album rights and the songs will be released on 30 August 2014 at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad. The track contains 6 include theme music also.

The producer announced that Tamanna played the lead role on june 2013, later in 2014 it was replaced by Hansika motwani. She played the main role in the film. Laterly reported she was playing a lady with supernatural powers. Ragini Dwivedi had played for second female role. Later lakshmi rai roped for the film and after Andrea jeremiah roped in the film. Sundar C. himself played a supporting role as the brother of Andrea's character.

 

The schedule would began on 28 September 2013 in pollachi with Lakshmi Rai, Andrea, Kovai Sarala, Nithin Sathya and Manobala. Hansika joined the team on 6 October 2013 and told "it's a super challenging role for me that I haven't done till today". 70 Percent of film shoot would be taken at the palace in hyderabad. The palace was created by mohan babu. 2 crores were spent for renovating the palace. Sundar C, the film features more than one hour of computer graphics imager.

The director Gaurav earlier directed Thoonga Nagaram was all set his next project Sigaram Thodu. About the story : Relationship between a father and son. Three big heroes in the film one from tollywood and two heroes from kollywood. Vikram Prabhu has signed for lead actor and Monal Gajjar roped for female lead. Sathyaraj played a pivotal role.

The shooting of Sigaram Thodu begin on May 6, 2013 at Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.Director Gaurav said "It is India's first movie to shoot the Gangotri temple opening ceremony amidst 20,000 people in -2 degree celsius". A location in the Himalayas used for the song "Pidichirukku" in the film is only opened two days a year, so the team shot for a few days in 2013, before returning a year later to complete portions.

Production

The success of Naan film, the director Jeeva shankar wrote a new script titled Amara Kaaviyam, a college love story set in the 1980s based on a real life incident. While Yuvan shankar raja approached for music director, later replaced M Ghibran. Adharvaa was discussed by the producer to play the lead role but consequently opted out during pre-production stages.

The director replaced him with Sathya in september 2013, sathya's brother arya producing the film, under the production house is the show people. Mia George play the lead female role, it's a first tamil debut film. The production began in Ooty on october 2012. Sai is a costume designer, he prepared clothes for the film's 1980s backdrop. Mia George played as a school girl named karthika in the movie, going on to add that she had to act in a lot of emotional scenes and that she would be seen mostly in the school uniform costume and the half saree. She had shot for 45 days in ooty, most of the scenes been shot at set. Sathya played a school play named Jeeva.
