Kajal Aggarwal is a female lead role in this movie and she do with karthi for second time. Earlier she done karthi with Naan Mahaan Alla. Karthi is a hero in this movie. Prabhu roped to play a supported role in this movie. In Tamil Nadu the film will be shots from various places including Kumbakonam, Ambasamuthiram, Pollachi, Gobichettipalayam, Tenkasi and many more places. The team did test shoots, and started to make still shoots on 2 March 2013, which would be followed by the first shooting schedule.

In this film Nagarjuna seen in three shades. One, he will be seen as righthand for foreign don. Two, he will seen as tappori and third, a guy who is in search of his family. The first part of the story is backdrop of mafia and second part will be filled with entertainment.

Production

  

In September 2010, silambarasan announced that he would be working in a project. The director Nelson is childhood friend for simbu. Simbu and Nelson had worked together in Manmadhan and Vallavan. First look, the movie was titled by Vettaiyan and after that the titled rechanged by Vettai Mannan. The film shot in USA and Mexico, featurings three heroines one from hollywood. Jai play a role for silambarasan's friend. Deeksha Seth also featured in the first schedule of the film, the first schedule was finished in april 2011.

  

The second schedule began in Binny Mills. Silambarasan, Jai and four hundred junior artistes, with scenes shot in May 2011. Piaa Bajpai and Amrita Rao preferred for other two female lead roles, but this proved to be untrue. Hansika signed to play a role in october 2011, portraying a role of a gangster's mall.

Silambarasan noted that the first half of the film completed on march 2012 and second half of the film abroad, potentially in Brazil. Nelson said fifty percent of the film was completed.
