And then the movie which was directed by K Chandru, Kalpathi S Aghoram produced the movie and has cinematography handled by Anand Jeeva and editing by Prem Kumar. The movie went on floors on February 26, 2013. It's not a remake movie of Saraswathi Sabatham.

Production

The movie began on february 26 2013, while the first scene were shot in villivakkam, chennai. The movie set in chennai and the director said that a minor portion taken from abroad. VTV Ganesh left to malaysia for the shoot of saraswathi sabatham with jai on july. 80% of the movie shooting were completed in july.

Title Controversy

Initially the movie title named as Saraswathi Sabatham, reusing the title of 1966 mythological movie starring Sivaji Ganesan and fans stated that not allowed to use the title for idol comedy movies. On september 25 2013, the movie retitled as Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham.

The music director for the movie is prem kumar and he has composed all songs. While the music album was released on 13 october 2013. Vairamuthu, Madhan Karky and Gaana Bala written the lyrics for the movie. The single track song 'Kaathirundhai Anbe' was released earlier.
