Lakshmi menon revealed that she is a part of the film on may 2013, would be paired for siddharth. The shoot of the film started on June 12 in Madurai. The shoot came to an end after five months in Madurai on November 21, 2013.

The film is a triangular love story between an aspiring Filmmaker, an Idli seller and a dangerous aged Gangster which is set in the city of Madurai.
