Thiru announced that direct a film from vishal production on june 2013. Jai would play the lead role in the film. However in october 2013, jai announced that his schedules were busy and thus Vishal himself opted to play the lead role in the film. Lakshmi Menon play the lead role in the film.

The film began on November 29 2013 near VGP, the crew announced Iniya was added in the cast for next female lead role. The film shoot ended on february 2014.

Production

A pooja for the launch of the movie took place on 10 July followed by a press meet.The movie shot in chennai, bangalore, Athirapally, during the first schedule and couple of songs shot at Malta. Hansika start her portions first, sivakarthikeyan will join the team on first week of august 2013.

The dialogue spoken by dhamu in Gemini, that's the dialogue was named as movie title. Whether he explains maan karate means "how a deer runs away when in danger". Whenever there is a problem in his life, sivakarthikeyan fails to face them and runs for cover instead.

The film shooting has been completed and has entered post production phase. The climax was shot in a very grand set location in chennai. The outdoor set for the climax alone was set up at a staggering cost of INR 3 crores. Debutante Art director S. Rajamohan has already drawn in praise from critics and fellow artists for the massive set and grand feel to this "Fantasy" movie.
