Production
In july 2013, the film was started. The debut director Raja murugan who had previously work in Bheema and paiyaa and also worked as a writer on Ananda Vikatan. The team completed the making of the film by November 2013, with Dinesh revealing his satisfaction on how the film shaped up. Kamal Haasan revealed the first look of the film and thereafter released the teaser and trailer for the film.
Music
The music director for the film is Santhosh Narayanan while he composed the entire tunes for the film. The audio album has been released on february 17 2014. The album gets positive reviews from outside of the critics.
