Production
The film shoot began on 19 August 2013. Dayanidhi Azhagiri announced next production to start on july 2013 to be directed by the new comer Saravana Rajan. While the film titled as vadacurry, it's a famous south indian dish. Jai and Swati reddy were selected to play the lead role after subramaniapuram. Initially reported that anirudh would compose the music for the film, the producer confirm yuvan shankar raja was signed on and he compose one song from the film and later yuvan's busy schedule he will not continue from the project and replaced by newcomer duo Vivek Shiva and Mervin Solomon, recommended by anirudh. Sunny leone was signed for a special appearance in a song, making her Tamil debut with this film. While Anusha Dayanidhi is a costume designer for the film.
Music
The music director for the movie is Vivek Shiva and Mervin Solomon, while he composed the songs and background score for the film. Yuvan's composed one song for the film "Uyirin Maeloru Uyirvandhu". The album was released on April 10 2014. The songs were met with a positive response from critics.
